Professor Félix Vidal of the University of Santiago de Compostela and Xavier Obradors, CSIC research professor (Scientific Research Superior Council) were named “Chevaliers de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques, by the French Republic President. This distinction exalts the awarded professors. It is a great acknowledgement to their scientific trajectory which shows the excellent work that is being made in our universities and research public centres.
Vidal and Obradors' task, combining rigour and wisdom, is a reference that enables us to evaluate what we have but, above all, to design a new future for our scientific development, a key to make meaningful steps towards reaching our welfare state.
